What is Imo Impact DealDay?

A pitch event run by arise. Imo Impact DealDay will run quarterly, and the first event will take place on Friday, July 15th in Owerri, Imo State.

Imo Impact DealDay will bring arise members, other angel investors and Imo Impact ecosystem players together at an event where the very best startup ventures (across sectors) are guaranteed funding.  A minimum of 5 innovative and creative startups are expected to pitch on the day. Each participating investment syndicate is expected to deploy a minimum of N1mm on the day.

Information for Investors

Interested investors are required to set up a Pro Account with VC4Africa. Initial pitch decks, video pitches and other startup information will be available via the VC4Africa platform in the run up to the event. Interested angel investors/syndicates should contact arise by email at info@ariseinvest.co for more information on how to register.

Information for Startups

Applications close at 5pm. on Thursday, July 7th.

Interested startups are invited to apply and make sure to have a venture profile published on the VC4Africa platform with their most recent pitch deck attached. Video pitches are encouraged but not required (no more than 60-90 seconds long). Applications without a venture profile and pitch materials will be automatically excluded. Shortlisted startups will be announced/contacted on July 11th, and entrepreneurs will be invited to make formal pitches at the Imo Impact DealDay pitch event on Friday July 15th. Pitches will be delivered to a small, closed panel of Angel investors.

• Business must operate in Imo State
• Funding requirement of up to N5m
• Team must be in Owerri on the 15th of July if shortlisted
