International Competition of Social Innovation Ideas in the Covid Context
The COVID-19 gives us a new context, where not only is the health of people affected by the health crisis, but the way in which we relate, we access health, education and technology. And this health crisis is accompanied by an economic and social crisis.
The contest of Ideas South-South Inspira, arises between the Agency of International Cooperation of the Government of Chile, AGCID and UTEM who associate, through a collaboration agreement, to develop the first contest of ideas that links the best of the worlds of social innovation and the South-South cooperation. SUR SUR Innova aims to Promote International Cooperation and Social Innovation in Latin America through the search for ideas and initiatives to address the challenges in the context of the Covid 19 Pandemic by linking diverse actors to current social problems and driving the development of Latin America.
Those who can participate
Natural persons of preference may be supported by non-profit legal persons (certified B companies or non-profit organizations or universities whose turn has a positive impact on the areas and objectives of this competition); Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Ecuador and Colombia, which have projects or ideas that can provide solutions to existing problems in the context of the Covid-19 Pandemic in the following areas:
- Reactivation: Ideas that attempt to give new impetus to the economic activity of a particular country, region, territory or sector, which is in a phase of recession or stagnation resulting from the Covid-19.
- Social Protection: Interventions aimed at reducing social and economic risk and vulnerability, as well as alleviating extreme poverty and deprivation.
- Environment: projects and actions on environmental education, dissemination and innovation that promote the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste. Projects related to the sustainable development of the country or sector, such as green businesses, recycling, activities to combat climate change or to promote the efficient use of water and energy, and those aimed at protecting biodiversity.
