The Africa YES 2020 Program for Young Social Entrepreneurs

The Africa Young Entrepreneur Support(YES) Program is a  6-month intensive entrepreneurship, leadership and business training that provides early-stage young social innovators with the resources they need to discover opportunities, unlock their potential and create impact in their local communities. In addition the program invests a minimum total of $15000 in grant funding to top fellows  at the end of the program. 

We are looking for drive, passion, grit and excitement and commitment around the problem you are solving and the impact you are creating or looking to create, something we believe that you have. You will be joining an amazing family of other social innovators who are rewriting narratives, re-imagining a better world and creating wealthier communities.

Among the things we look for are:

• Your venture must be solving a clear problem in the community
• You must have a viable and tested solution already in place (not just an idea)
• The social venture should have a viable business model with some paying customers or making some revenue in the past 6 months
• For applicants in Kenya, show a clear commitment and availability to attend weekly in-person sessions from August 2020 to December 2020
• You must be working either full time or at least 30 hrs per week in your venture
• The venture is legally registered in Kenya or in the process of registration
• You must show a clear need for the program and how it creates value to your entrepreneurial journey.
