Accelerate Positive Innovation in the Mediterranean
Supported by the French Development Agency and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, EMERGING Mediterranean is the acceleration program of EMERGING Valley in the Mediterranean. Intended for entrepreneurs with strong social and environmental impacts, the program was designed to identify, accelerate and nurture the advocacy of Mediterranean startups of “Tech For Good”, and carries the ambition to create a community of impactful digital leaders.
EMERGING Mediterranean is a complete program, which combines financial support, educational support, networking, and visibility, and whose advantages for the benefit of entrepreneurs are numerous: tailor-made and personalized mentoring, fundraising support, preparation for scale-up, acceleration of social and inclusive innovation, networking, exchanges between peers, leadership…
It rewards 6 startups – one winner per country and one winner of the Special Women’s Entrepreneurship Prize, which will have delivered the best pitches during the training course provided by the program.
The EMERGING Mediterranean program is open to all very high-impact startups from the 5+5 countries, on the South Shore: Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia.
It targets Tech For Good startups, committed to the themes of e-health, mobility, agritech, environment, edtech, or social and solidarity economy.
The program particularly values the female entrepreneurship dimension and will reward for the first time a startup whose project stands out in favor of Mediterranean women and/or female entrepreneurship.
The Bootcamp on both shores of the Mediterranean is the first highlight of the program. Organized in one of the countries of the South Shore, it brings together the cohort of 30 startups each year in hybrid form for 72 hours of intensive acceleration.
Mentoring, masterclass, collective intelligence, networking, the Bootcamp is a unique opportunity for nuggets to follow training courses given by experts in entrepreneurship, to be advised and coached individually in the development of a complete and convincing deck, and to take part in a pitch competition that could lead to a grant of 5,000 euros!
At the end of Bootcamp, a pitch session will allow twelve startups to access the July Final. Six winners will be chosen at the end of this and will win a support package with high added value.
The 6 winners will each benefit from a package consisting of the following elements:
