Youth+ Africa believes that the growth and prosperity of the African continent will be determined by the ability to identify, empower and mentor young African entrepreneurs in their roles as agents of change in society. As a result, our goal is to invest in the capacity building, mentorship and networking of African entrepreneurs with the ultimate objective of scaling their businesses.
We believe that in doing so, we shall be creating a larger, alternative employment pool that will ease the burden of youth unemployment on the continent. We have begun operations in Kenya, and have established a network in 5 other counties outside Nairobi, an approach that is setting our program apart – a concentration on building an entrepreneurship ecosystem that extends beyond the major cities.
We have a footprint in Uganda, where the groundwork is being laid for entry in July 2017 and have earmarked Rwanda, Tanzania and Ghana as additional markets to enter by January 2018.
