Youth Alliance for Promoting Agriculture in Liberia (YAPAL), Inc. is an off – spring of Integrating Youth for the Achievement of Agriculture in Liberia and was established in January 2020. The objective of YAPAL, Inc. is to train and employ marginalized, disadvantaged and vulnerable youth (males and females between the ages of 18 to 35) representing the 15 counties of Liberia. Trainings and employment will be conducted to cover the production, management, processing, sales, etc. of crops and livestock (representing Liberia’s stables: rice, cassava, goats, chickens and pigs). This initiative will seek to provide training and employment opportunities to approximately 1,000 of these youths within a five – year period across Liberia. Agriculture is a sector in Liberia that can easily incorporate thousands of youths with the provision of trainings within short periods to promote agriculture in Liberia will indeed contribute to the country’s food security.
