Yakwetu Biotech Building Precision Circular Loops for Bio-Wastes

With over 500 tons of biodegradable waste produced daily, we’re creating precision circular loops that transform specific waste types into high-value solutions for Climate Smart Farming. Our approach combines Microbial Biotechnology, Formulation Technology, and Digital Technology to extract value from waste. Our successful case involves a circular loop for potato peel waste, a potent methane gas emitter. We channel these peels into formulations branded as Climate Smart Plant Enhancers (CSPEs), namely NURU (Bio NPK Liquid Fertilizer) and HALISI (Bio NPK Powder Fertilizer). Our solution incentivizes stakeholders across the value chain, including waste suppliers, community-based transporters, and smallholder farmers who benefit from using our eco-friendly fertilizers .
