The problem is that hiring managers spend lots of time re-interviewing job candidates that they will end up not hiring because they are not a good fit. The cost of resources during this process is exceptionally high. Recruitment agents charge hiring companies 10 – 15% of a candidate’s annual salary per placement. The majority of job candidates end up losing trust in the long recruitment process and become disheartened. Long recruitment processes eventually contribute to discouraged labour and an increased unemployment rate. The proposed solution is a platform where hiring managers can meet potential candidates without the involvement of the recruitment agent. How this would happen is having both parties registered with our platform. A candidate would be able to sign up and create their unique profile and video interview. A business would post job listings with requirements per role. Upon application, a link with a 1-5 minute video clip will be sent to the hiring manager.
