VETA skill-up Africa

Team

The company has 2 co-founders: Daniel Odediran who is the CEO and Helen Balogun who is the COO.

They met in the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) and have known themselves for 6 years carrying out various community development projects together. In 2018, the ran a project called Ise-Owo (loosely translating to Hand-work) where they brought together skilled young people from their University to train over 70 children on about 9 different technical and vocational skills. This was the founding origin for the idea for the company VETA.

Professionally, Daniel is a no-code web developer, business developer and upcoming business intelligence analyst. Helen on the other hand is a professional copy writer and social media manager.
Memorably, Daniel has served as a panelist for the World youth forum, Egypt and Helen has been awarded African Young Entrepreneur by RUFORUM.

Daniel currently owns 60% of the company while Helen owns 40%. Both founders reside in Nigeria.
