Unima solves the problem of lack of access to a timely diagnostic for 3 billion people living in emerging and developing countries. Current diagnostic technologies are very precise and can detect almost any disease known, but they require specialized labs and technicians which are very scarce in these countries making impossible to reach universal healthcare coverage. And without a timely diagnostic, the risk of disease outbreaks and pandemics increases significantly, as an example of what is happening with the coronavirus.
To solve this problem Unima developed Find, a fast and low cost diagnostic and disease surveillance technology that allows anyone, even those with no medical training, to diagnose a disease directly at the point of care, without using lab equipment, with results in 15 minutes and at one dollar per test. With this technology, we are taking diagnostics outside of the lab and even to the most remote areas of the world.
