According to the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Women-Owned Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs) face an estimated credit gap of $1.4 to $1.7 trillion. In Africa, women face a $42 billion gender financing gap, which costs the continent $95 billion annually. Despite Sub-Saharan Africa having the highest number of female entrepreneurs in the world, they are still critically underfunded and need more resources to grow their businesses.
Our platform leverages alternative data to assess women’s credit worthiness which helps to reduce default rates and increases access to capital for women with no previous credit history. Shecluded also provides financial literacy training and support to women entrepreneurs through our community to help women make informed financial decisions and grow their businesses.
