The Cardio Initiative Nigeria Reducing the burden of Cardiovascular diseases in communities in ssa

The Cardio Advocacy Initiative (Nigeria) is a public health advocacy group, with the vision to beat down the burden of cardiovascular diseases and other related non-communicable diseases (NCDs) that cause complications; through early health education of young adults, lifestyle adjustment and community support of people living with cardiovascular disease and/or other NCDs such as Diabetes, with free drugs, education and medical consultation. The initiative targets both rural and urban regions.

We believe health is an important factor that drives the development of a people and the younger generation are the future custodians of change. As such we target youth populations even as we support other aged demographics to live a healthy old age.

We envisage piloting community health outreaches, education/training/seminars and support in Nigeria, scaling the same through other African countries.
