Feven founded Tchakka Origins as a vertically integrated agroforestry enterprise that merges equity for farming communities, the sustained preservation of forest ecosystem yields, and the crafting of plant products by sourcing, adding value, extracting and supplying plant products for use in personal care, wellness, herbal teas and ingredients industries. Her prior work experience is in social impact investments in agriculture and healthcare in Africa with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s China then Ethiopia office. Her responsibilities were in strategy development, investment planning, business development, deal sourcing and grant making.
Habtamu works on quality control issues ranging from soil, to extraction, isolation and analyses for essential oils, medicinal plants and herbal teas. Habtamu has extensive experience in the preparation of soil samples, plant research, product formulation and value-added products. He has completed CSIR-IHBTI program in India.
