Team
The SympliFi team has over 25 years of experience in financial services, microfinance and payments. The founders worked together for four years for Baobab Group, an investment holding company that owns and operates the largest portfolio of microfinance banks in Africa specializing in Micro and SME lending. The founders were executives at the firm responsible for buying and building banks in Africa. In our roles we helped lead the growth of the portfolio to over $800M in total gross loan portfolio and more than 1 million customers across banks in 10 countries, while maintaining aggregate NPLs of less than 3%.
Complementing the founders, our CTO has a decade of experience in software development, with six years dedicated to web3 innovations. As CTO of a US web3 startup, he built a ten-person engineering team and led the launch of multiple products.
