suntech Pay–As-You–Go solar technology

Our new business uses Pay–As-You–Go solar technology to provide affordable power to low income customers in off-grid communities under Rent-to-Own model. It enables customers to pay for the solar products with a small deposit and regular weekly payments over a period of time, usually about 18 months. The installment payments are made by purchasing top-up credit from scratch cards or mobile money. The product has a control box that allows access to the power only upon a credit recharge. 

The customer pays a fee to permanently unlock the unit upon completion of the weekly credit top up and now owns the unit. The customer can also exchange it for more powerful units including TV and repeat the recharge process.
