SAYA TSITORO is an agri-food project based in Tambohorano, Madagascar, that uses traditional methods to transform local wild, forgotten, or little-known fruits—such as the TSITORO (Ancylobothrys petersiana)—into high-value-added products, such as jams and pickles. Our project has strong potential thanks to the abundance of these fruits in the region, high demand for natural products, and market validation: more than 90% of people who have tasted our products like them and buy them again, even though more than 80% were not yet familiar with these fruits, thus creating a significant market opportunity.
