Somaliland Plastic Recycling Recycling plastic waste into new products

This proposal is to develop a small scale plastics recycling training center in Hargeisa as Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) as well as a youth-owned enterprise (under age 30), that will develop local expertise in small -scale plastics collection, preparation and product development. Six women partnered with the idea. The first facility will be established in Hargeisa where 40% of the population in Somaliland live with regular visits and awareness tours to coastal towns.

This project is a new concept in Somaliland and has never been tried S.P.R. will be the first
plastic recycling center to open in Hargeisa. Therefore, we will have first attempt at establishing
a strong relationship with businesses, locals, government and education institutions. This is why we truly believe we have the potential to succeed.
