The Solar E-Cycle (Try.ke) is a solar powered electric tricycle for last mile delivery and access to electricity for home-based microenterprise, with on-board data/power management system for dedicated customer support, fleet, and real-time maintenance tracking by connecting via IoT, mobile money, GSM and GPS. Additionally, built-in reliability management and impact measurement guarantees impact optimization goals. Our PAYGO and pay-for-use business models that lower access barriers for the low income earners through new revenue generation opportunities and savings. Our innovation also provides mobility, access to electricity and markets, revenue generation for last mile delivery, street vending, mobile power, and improved solar home systems. Furthermore, our innovation improves communications and enables home study, it is silent and has no need of refueling. An overhead solar panel harnesses energy from the sun and converts it to electrical energy which then charges the batteries.
