22 million people in Tanzania have no access to justice because of financial and geographical constraints. We believe that everyone has the right to access justice easily and affordably and this is why we started “Sheria Kiganjani” Swahili for “Law on your Palm”, a platform providing easily accessible and affordable legal services through mobile phones to low and middle income earners in Tanzania.
Through our platform, users are able to talk and chat with lawyers 24/7, users get connected to nearby lawyers through our map, users have access to templates of legal documents together with over 8,000 questions and answers simplifying complex provisions of the law in Swahili language. We have reached over 2 million Tanzanians, receiving and resolving over 800 legal inquiries monthly.
Our goal is to impact at least 5 million Tanzanians by 2030.
