SafeRide SafeRide is an on-demand motorcycle taxis service in Monrovia, Liberia

Monrovia has a population of one million people and sixty-percent of the population rely on motorcycle taxis to commute daily. However, there is a higher rate of accidents and deaths from commuting with the motorcycle taxis in Monrovia. The increasing accidents and deaths are a result of inadequate safety training and unsafe driving practices of motorcycle taxis drivers. SafeRide solution offers a safer, reliable and efficient on-demand motorcycle taxis services in Monrovia. Our solution seeks to mitigate the accidents and deaths by introducing a mobile app and a call service for passengers to request a trip and make payments using a mobile money account. Drivers are recruited into our network and required to take training in road safety and customer service. We are adding delivery services in addition to the regular commuting of passengers to increase drivers incomes. SafeRide monitors the safety of its drivers through a feedback system for passengers after each trip.
