Prosoya Kenya Ltd is a for profit High Social Impact Private Limited Liability company whose goals are to fight malnutrition, poverty and unemployment in Africa. It is currently working with over 10000 farmers, to increase to 34000 by 2023, owns a 5.4 acre plot in Nairobi where it intends to relocate. Prosoya’s Vision is to have a strong impact on 70% of the African population by the year 2030. The company buys soya beans, sorghum, millet and maize from small scale farmers, extrudes the composite, fortifies the extrudate with vitamins and minerals and sells it at affordable prices to the base of the pyramid members of the community, feeding and relief agencies. Using by-products and farmers’ produce unfit for human consumption, Prosoya manufactures high quality animal feeds for small scale farmers.
