Portharcourt Prospect Multipurpose Coop (Ppmc) Pursuance of agricultural projects to attain food security in Nigeria.

Who we are: PPMC is a multi-purpose cooperative with the main aim to help encourage and foster agricultural development in Rivers State with a view to bringing about food security in the state and in Nigeria as whole. We do this through training young people in agricultural techniques, providing them with practical experience and help them set up agricultural businesses. We also embark in agricultural research to explore and acquire innovation and improved techniques in agriculture. We also have large integrated farm projects.

A key strategic objective of PPMC is to address the persistent food shortage the Niger Delta region and in Nigeria as a whole and the associated nutritional and health implications. The motivating factor is that if unemployed youths and ordinary people in the communities are empowered to engage in gainful agricultural endeavours, it will bring about well-nourished community, empower people economically and reduce the level starvation and poverty.
