Owinna is developing an online platform for crowdsourcing live soccer updates on African teams and identifying young talented players, even from rural Africa.
72% of African youths and adults love soccer, but they are not able to follow their local players and teams as closely as they follow their European teams. So Owinna will let soccer fans at a football ground share updates of their local teams and players using mobile phones.
Owinna already hosts soccer information and makes it accessible via SMS and mobile web. We are now developing tools to build online profiles of African teams and players and help unearth talented players anywhere.
