Services of the informal and unknown but better priced missed out. The informal sector grew bigger from a lack of exposure and a lack of business while couples continued to pay exorbitant prices.
Advertising on social media helps but many vendors get lost in the noise that social media has become and for many maintaining the pages is itself hard work. Prompted by this pain for both couples and vendors, Nyom planet is leveraging technology (AI, computation and others) to ease the process of sourcing vendors for couples while at the same time giving previously unknown and informal vendors a digital presence and access to couples.
By creating a one-stop center for weddings (with the highest vendor subscription in East Africa), we have made reliable vendors accessible to couples with the swipe of a phone.
