Beans are one of the most important staple foods in East Africa. However, beans require considerable energy and time to cook before they are consumed. With changing lifestyles, particularly in poor urban communities, a convenient intervention is required to match lifestyles trends.
NDENGU is building a network that processes and distributes ready-to-eat/canned beans targeting low income urban residents. Our business model also seeks to increase wealth creation through franchising certain canning operations, albeit not comprising on our for-profit objectives.
