Nanay

Specialized in alpaca children’s knitwear, Nanay’s mission is to create livelihoods for BOP indigenous women empowering them as entrepreneurs. We train knitters to establish their legal workshops which allows them access to loans to grow their micro enterprises and provide opportunities for more women. To ensure products to meet standards of high-end international markets, Nanay is involved in the design, supply of raw material, quality control and export logistics. With over a decade of experience, we have proven success with a model that creates tangible impact for our knitters. However, in the process of implementing a new business strategy, a series of unfavorable factors, exacerbated by COVID -19, caused our company financial unsustainability and a severe liquidity crisis. Access to funds would allow us to continue redesigning our business model and pursue new markets, aiming to surpass our previous sales volumes continuing to generate income for the 600 knitters we work with.
