MUMAT United Women of the Milpas and Annexes Tamazula

We are a Community Forestry Company made up of 28 women (single mothers, ejidatarias, daughters and wives of ejidatarios) of the Forest Ejido ¨ Las Milpas and Annexes ¨ of the municipality of Tamazula, Durango State, Mexico. The acronym of MUMAT, means United Women of the Milpas and Annexes of Tamazula, we dedicate ourselves to the use of forest residues of the industry of the aserrio to turn them into products with added value, tablet for tarima, duela for the construction and mango of broom, contributing to the objectives of sustainable development in terms of poverty and gender equity, in addition to reduction of inequalities, empowered women and contributing to the reduction of pollutants in the forest
