Education, the way it’s currently structured, is elitist; the quality of education one receives and the value one derives from it are tied directly to how much one can pay. This leads to inequitable outcomes that impact the social and economic mobility of young Africans.

Thankfully, digital education and skill acquisition mechanisms can break this trend and democratize access. But its distribution and efficiency are currently limited.

Motivar is a social enterprise that is focused on improving the efficiency and distribution of digital skill training and education, especially for young people whose socioeconomic realities limit their access.

We will offer tech-enabled learner support services based on a framework of incentives, accountability, and community designed to help learners easily find, start, and complete digital courses. This service will be distributed via digital software and community centers.
