Mkazi Concepts has developed the Sensani system which is an intelligent hand hygiene sanitiser dispenser network comprising of hand wash stations, a smart phone application and visualization dashboard. The system is designed to act as a defensive intervention against the spread of Infectious pathogens and Communicable diseases. The WASH stations grant both end-users and HCW’s safe access into facilties using hand hygiene standards and hand washing as the means for entry. The systems gather data on digital footprints of profiles created on the mobile applications and add NFC identifies to regonise end users and usage. 80% of all infections are spread by hand and the national department of health reports that national compliance is between 30-40% and 1 on 7 patients risk infection during visits. This is due to the labor intensive manual observation systems that are currently being used. The Sensani technology reduces this problem by providing real time operational safety visibility.
