We are excited to introduce our innovation project, YAKU Smart Hydration Assistant, which aims to enhance the well-being of elderly residents in Barcelona by effectively and individually measuring their hydration needs and providing real-time and predictive alerts on when they should drink water. Our main solution aims to reduce the level of fragility and dependency of senior citizens in Spain by creating a preventive and predictive smart bracelet that will send light and vibrational signals when it detects an imminent risk of dehydration. It is well-known that common diseases in the silver economy include cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal diseases, and cognitive decline. Thanks to an integrated system of sensors, advanced microcontrollers, and predictive algorithms, YAKU bracelet will improve the general well-being of seniors by sending predictive alerts in real-time. With the YAKU app, their bio data will be stored in a Health Big Data for continuous and effective monitoring
