Makifaa is the pan-African visual marketplace that lets brands access authentic African photos, videos, and AI-generated visuals in seconds.
Problem. Generic stock libraries continue to portray Africa through clichés, forcing marketers to settle for visuals that fail to resonate with local audiences.

Solution. Makifaa bridges the gap with a catalogue sourced from 300 + contributors in 10 countries and a shoot-on-demand option for bespoke briefs. Our last release introduced multilingual navigation and Samba, an AI image generator built on open models fine-tuned for African aesthetics, allowing users to create visuals that don’t yet exist.

Traction. 1 000 + registered users, partnerships with Afroto and Maya Empire, and a SAFE investment from Digital Africa.

Roadmap. Enterprise asset libraries, API access, and brand-specific model tuning. Goal: host 1 M assets by 2030, establishing Makifaa as the visual backbone of Africa’s creative economy.
