The current Sanitation Challenge in peri-urban areas in Zambia involves the use of dilapidated latrines and council toilets which increase the likelihood of contracting cholera and other sanitation-related diseases prevalent in Zambia.
Live Clean (LC) is a Zambian company whose solution to this problem is the provision of a clean and safe sanitation experience, offering well-operated toilet and water facilities for ZMW 3 or less per use. Additional services are provided (e.g. selling of consumer hygiene products) to generate further revenue. We are pursuing initiatives like treating sewer water and using solar energy.
We currently have 5 operational facilities (3 in Lusaka and 2 in Solwezi) servicing over 1350 toilet visits per day. Our plan is to have 60 facilities running in Zambia by 2025. LC is looking for engaged partners who want to change the sanitation standards for all Zambians.
