With over 12,200 companies created in the last 5 years, Burundi is a fast growing market. Unfortunately, the online market is not being exploited. Around 54% of Burundians use mobile phones and 800,000 access internet and the number is still growing.
Kukasoko was launched with the aim to bridge the gap between buyers and sellers and expose young small business owners to a larger online market. The website has reached over 30,000 views, published more than 600 products that have a value of more than $1.6 million and have reached more than 800 downloads on google play store. Our Facebook platform has reached more than 5900 followers with more than 300,000 posts reaches.
