In order to contribute to the production of health edible oil, Kamida strives to firstly, enable aggregation of farmers through contractual agreements and build their capacity to enable sustained supply of sunflower seed produce. Aggregation of farmers will include diversification of sunflower growing in different identified regions such as Migori, Homabay and Machakos Counties to spread the risk associated with rain-fed agriculture and community dynamics.

Secondly, provide smaller farming tools and equipment such as walking tractors, solar driers etc. that are affordable to small holder farmers to allow even women to participate in farming more effectively.

Thirdly, enhance the capacity of the oil production unit to match the increased supply of raw materials and comply with the health and Kenya Bureau of Standards requirements. Mass production will lower the cost of production and increased sales will create enough revenues to pay for and sustain the supply of raw materials.
