Jibu Tanzania Create affordable access to drinking water through local franchising

Jibu Tanzania is a social enterprise pioneering a powerful new model that capitalizes and equips local entrepreneurs in Tanzania to own businesses that will ensure access to a basic human necessity: namely water, which is the primary and anchor product. Our mission is to create affordable access to drinking water through 10 franchised water production sites across Arusha, the third largest city in Tanzania (414,000 population within city boundaries and including peri-urban population estimated to be 1,000,000). We will do this by having a water purification manufacturing line, serving one community of 50,000 people with an associated network of 10 local micro-resellers within a 2 km radius.
