ICYEREKEZO MISIZI COOPERATIVE Me and You, we will achieve more

ICYEREKEZO Misizi Cooperative is a joint agricultural cooperative between Refugees from Mugombwa Refugee camp and Host community under Misizi Project. The project objective was to include refugees with the host community to enhance their integration process, empowering skills of persons of concern, and contributing to the local economy for self-reliance and to socio-economic cohesion. Current number of beneficiaries in the project makes 1427. under this project, refugees were able to improve their livelihood and were able to supplement their food assistance and achieve food security of refugees. The project had enrolled only few members of host community and Refugees.
Through this funding, the cooperative’s activities will expanded to benefit more refugees and ensuring that they are able to access quality food and fetch good price by incorporating food processing in line of value chain development. The support will help meet agro-processing capital assets needs.
