Hothla Watershed We have built a rain water harvesting structure (Mini dam).

I am law student (LL.M : International Trade Law) at IIU Islamabad and general law practitioner at twin cities of Rwp & I Pakistan. I am also participant of Oxfam’s Empower Youth for Work Project in Pakistan , having great learning experience with IBA AMAN CED, Karachi Pakistan in terms of entrepreneurial development of our startup definitely with the help of Oxfam. Preservation of nature and gardening has been my passion since childhood. Agriculture has been our family business however, returns are very low due to water scarcity and absence of suitable irrigation system, our lands are very fertile but depend on rain only, no formal agricultural irrigation network exists in the area resultantly, we were able to secure food for our family only whereas, I believe we can do way more than that. This led to the creation of our water harvesting structure, I collaborated with couple of other land owners and with technical support of soil conservation dept Punjab, built this mini dam.
