Homely Runs, a Home-based Guesthouse system in Chitral operated by the local women. In the regions where the tourist flow is higher, we register local houses which have extra rooms and use them as our guesthouses. They operate under our banner but will be run totally by the housewives of the family. We make sure their online presence and marketing. Furthermore, we make sure that the standards of the guesthouses are up to the level that they can compete with hotels present in the area.
The increase in the construction of hotels and restaurants in Chitral gave birth to many challenges like sewerage disposal in rivers, increase in plastic, food, and other solid wastes, deforestation, and destruction of landscape by uncontrolled hotel constructions.
The Homely Guesthouses are fully sustainable, protecting the natural landscape as no more buildings are needed for Hotels and restaurants because all these facilities are provided and run by locals who will sustainably protect their ecosyste
