In my studies and years of experience, the UN, the Red Cross and other international charitable institutions, and substantial food aid do not solve the food problems of poor countries, because they address symptoms rather than the cause. Food production is lacking in places where food shortages are felt the most like in Cross River and Benue States of Nigeria; Seeing people die every day of hunger and starvation give me pains in heart, and inspired me to Support local food production and processing to reduce post-harvest losses; Promotion of intensive agric-business marketing to improve the finances and living standards rural smallholder farmers.
