Safe her is a maternal and infant morbidity and mortality reduction project of Give her a chance Africa foundation Nigeria using a uniquely designed product from our oversee partner called ” solar suitcase” to ensure off grid health centres and health workers have essential electricity for life saving care. This unique product comes with medical lighting, fetal heart rate monitor and 12 VDC charging for phones and other devices. Also this will be followed up with a capacity building workshop to provide local women technicians with the skills to install and maintain the devices. This is under the ambassadorial arm of the project. The award winning solar suitcase is an economical, easy to use portable power unit that provides health workers with highly efficient medical lighting and power for mobile communication, computers and other medical devices.
