Gesco Group Digital commerce infrastructure for Africa

Gesco Group Ltd is building the digital commerce infrastructure for The Gambia by digitizing transportation, commerce, accommodation booking, and merchant payments.

Our first initiative is Gesco Ferry e-Ticketing, a platform designed to digitize ferry ticket sales for one of the country’s most important transport systems. Ferry operations generate approximately 40 million Gambian Dalasi in monthly ticket revenue, yet transactions are still largely manual and cash-based.

By introducing digital ticketing and payment systems, Gesco improves transparency, reduces operational inefficiencies, and makes travel more convenient for passengers.

Beyond transport, Gesco is building an integrated digital ecosystem that includes:

• Gesco Marketplace – enabling SMEs to sell products online
• GescoStay – a property booking platform connecting hotels, apartments, and diaspora travelers
• Gesco Merchant Payments – infrastructure enabling businesses to accept digital payments
