Agriculture is the mainstream of Uganda’s economy providing 14% of its gross domestic product. According to national planning authority of Uganda, 77% of the population engaging in Agriculture are females however they only engage in small-scale rural agriculture( Mostly for household consumption) because they lack resources and support necessary to effectively produce crops on a sustainable scale for income generating. Without a source of income generating, women are unable to meet cash needs to support themselves and their families.
Gejja seedloan collaborates with passionate female farmers in rural areas of Uganda to invest in them through a seedloan. It works in the way that we purchase good quality seeds and distribute to the farmers which comes with a training on the new and better techniques of farming and continuous follow ups. we continue with support in looking for market where we create partnerships with schools, market places, families and export companies.
