FreshLine Postharvest Solutions Hunger is not seasonal, so should food

Ghana faces high post-harvest losses of 40% at farm level which horticultural produce make up most of the figure due to its fragile nature.
Tomato farmers are faced with the challenge of selling their produce at a giveaway price to middle men due to the short shelf life of the produce and the lack of storage facilities for them. Buyers also select the best looking produce and leave the ugly fruits which are mostly left to rot in the farm.
Freshline will provide cold storage facilities at rural farming communities where we will purchase produce when prices are low and sell when prices rise
Freshline also will target the ugly fruits that never make it to the market and turn them into Tomato powder to be marketed under the Freshline Brand.
A survey at the farming community and the market disclosed that there is no cold storage facility in Ghana for small holder farmers. The tomato powder will strengthen the local value chain and is expected to cut post-harvest losses of tomatoes
