Etablissement PDIET – Fluvial Logistics in DRC Etablissement PDIET plans to acquire and operate 500-ton metal motorized barges for inland water transport on the Congo River. Road transport in the DRC is expensive, slow, and unreliable, while the river remains underutilized. Our solution: modern, efficient, and sustainable barges capable of 4-6 voyages per year, offering safe and profitable cargo transport. Each barge generates gross revenue of ~$80,000 per trip and net profit of ~$59,500, with quarterly repayments over 5 years. The project creates direct and indirect jobs, reduces carbon footprint, and supports domestic and regional trade. We are seeking private investment of USD 360,000 (1 barge) to 720,000 (2 barges) to launch operations. The founder, based in DRC, manages operations and provides a full business plan and financial feasibility study.
