About 85% of Kenyans use dirty expensive fuels to prepare their meals daily: wood and lump charcoal contributing to deaths from indoor air pollution and environmental pollution. Youth and women are the majority users of this fuels. We are looking to bring them into our value chain.
Ecofaya is a hardware tech company that builds machinery and processes to upscale discarded agricultural biomass waste into a life saving cooking fuel. Our solution is comprehensive in that our fuel is affordable to low-income earners. Environmentally Ecofaya saves about 30 trees daily by up cycling 2 tons of discarded farm waste. Ecofaya is creating awareness about this new product in cash constrained and risk averse communities to save lives and our environment from degradation.
