Easy Matatu is a tech platform that is reforming the informal transport sector in Africa by utilizing existing vetted minibus taxis also known as matatus to connect commuters to safe, reliable and clean transport. Through a mobile app, commuters can pre-book seats on scheduled and express departures that are operated by Easy Matatu trained and trusted drivers. The Easy Matatu app also provides commuters with a cashless wallet (topped up through mobile money) to pay for their rides.
