Drop Access Limited is a woman-led Kenyan company that was established in 2021.The company’s mission is to bridge the cold chain gaps, affordably and sustainably for all rural, off grid populations in Africa. It manufactures and distributes Vaccibox: a portable and solar healthcare refrigerator. Vaccibox is IoT enabled to promote monitoring and traceability.
Drop Access aims to be the first Kenyan company to acquire WHO PQS for healthcare cold chain manufacturing. Vaccibox is active in Kenya with anticipated scale into Cote d’Ivoire and Tanzania in 2024.
To date, it has stored and issued almost 500,000 human and animal vaccines, directly impacting 250k people, mostly women and children, raised over $750,000 in financing and over $60k in sales.
