Our innovation is a solar powered smart irrigation kit, the kit is solar powered, through the use of wireless IoT based soil sensing, the level of soil moisture is determined, while the irrigation controller in the precision irrigation box uses climate API and local soil moisture to come up with the right amount of irrigation required. During the night, a farmer can use the excess stored energy from the cells in the farmpal box to light his home. The system is a plug- and-play system, it requires no technical knowledge to set up and use. Farmers will benefit from zero labour cost, zero fuel cost, high water use efficiency, extra revenue stream from phone charging and home lighting in the night
