Community Mart is an agro-processing company centred on coconut processing with a vision to gain position in the Nigerian market as the leading provider of food based coconut products as healthy alternatives to the regular food products, with the aim of meeting the health needs of the community while maintaining an extremely efficient supply chain with low production costs for retail opportunities in the first 5 years of business.
We had identified through our research, the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, lactose intolerance, in Nigeria and globally. We had also identified the role good nutrition plays in curbing the incidence of these diseases or reduction of complications to those who are living with these illnesses.
So, after 2 years of market and product development, we created 8 food products which are currently generating revenue (monthly $1000-1500).
Most of our products are blue ocean products with high demand.
