The idea of establishing CFAD arose from the context of violent conflicts in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where various human rights violations were occurring, particularly on women, children and young people. Armed forces and groups were dictating the law, the rural exodus followed, given the insecurity in the villages, access to the fields and food for the cities in food products became complicated, access to school education (even primary) depended on the total charges of the parents who were already above the income of $1 a day, the city became overwhelmed and the rate of abuse (sexual and professional) and banditry became worrying. The promoters then set up for each other technical and then socio-economic assistance. To date, there have been over 10,000 vulnerable households, i.e., ± 70 .000 people affected by the vulnerability, with an average of 7 people per household.
